The Long Ranger 4 is the highest quality portable PA system available. It features a built-in VHF high band wireless system with up to 750 feet of operating range, and now uses Surface Mount Technology on all circuit boards, providing better performance, better shielding against interference and improved reliability. The amplifier produces an honest 33 watts (RMS) with low distortion into the built-in 8 ohm 11" re-entrant horn speaker.

In addition to the wireless mic, the Long Ranger 4 offers an assortment of inputs and outputs for future expansion. Add cassette tape players, metronomes or additional microphones through the mini, 1/4" or RCA input jacks, or additional speakers with 1/4" jacks. The bottom speaker jack adds a speaker to the Long Ranger 4. The top speaker jack temporarily disconnects the built-in horn speaker, allowing you to choose the type of speaker to use through the powerful PA.

We even offer a wireless transmitter package for your Dr. Beat or Peterson V-Sam metronomes!

McCormick's features a variety of configurations for your individual needs. Choose from headset or lavalier mics in either a single channel or double channel system. The Long Ranger 4A is a single channel unit, and the Long Ranger 4B is a dual channel unit. The second channel is actually an add-on to the main unit. This double channel system allows two people to talk through the PA at the same time, on totally different broadcasting frequencies!

Choose from two different microphones to customize your Long Ranger

HM162HM162 Headset Mic

Our most popular headset! Lightweight headworn microphone with bi-directional, noise concelling element for increased gain before feedback. Adjustable mic boom and neckband for comfortable fit over the ears and around the back of the neck. Includes foam windscreen for outdoor use. Locking micro plug.

M140M140 Lavalier Mic

Cardioid lavalier style with alligator-style clip connects to your shirt or collar. Locking micro plug prevents mic from pulling out of transmitter.

Choose from two compatible Long Ranger transmitters.

Constructed of rugged machined aluminum to last for years, both designs provide a spring-loaded belt clip and attached battery door. Battery status is indicated by an LED on the control panel. Battery life is 12 hours or more on a single alkaline 9 volt. Ask us about upgrading from the M175 to the M175-LS for just $20 per unit.

The M175 Transmitter has a tough outer aluminum housing for greater protection of its internal components and better shielding against wireless interference.

The M175-LS adds a mute toggle switch, so you can turn off the audio you’re broadcasting without turning off the power to the transmitter.

Long Ranger 4 Control Panel

The Long Ranger 4 Control Panel allows you to control the volume of the wireless mic and transmitter, as well as an optional second wireless transmitter, metronome, CD player or other device. Connections include 1/4", 1/8" mini, and RCA jacks.

Did you know?... You can connect two Long Rangers together with a single RCA cable, and each of the transmitters will broadcast through both units, even if they’re on different frequencies!
